Sleep Apnea

Most of us feel a little tired sometimes, but if you often wake up feeling like you haven’t slept at all, you may be suffering from sleep apnea. In obstructive sleep apnea, your tongue or tissues block your airway, limiting oxygen intake and disrupting sleep. Feeling groggy is tough enough, but if left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious medical issues affecting your blood pressure and heart health. As part of our holistic approach to patient care, the team at the office of Dr. Rizk can help diagnose sleep apnea. We offer both in-house and home testing. Once we get the results, we can treat mild to moderate cases using a SomnoMed device (similar to a mouthguard) to change the resting position of your mouth, leaving your airway clear. For more severe cases, we will refer you to a sleep center for additional treatment. We want you to rest well and have sweet dreams so you can keep showing off that stunning smile.
